Bahia Ballena Beach is located 700 meters (less than half a mile) from the hotel. It is a very wide paradisiacal beach, around 100 meters long (328 feet). With light gray sand and blue waters, framed in thick vegetation protected by the National Park. The mountains of the Pacific coast end on the shores of this beautiful beach.

Some activities that can be done in the area are surfing, whale watching, Nauyaca Waterfall, snorkeling in Caño Island, sport fishing tours, kayak and canopy rentals, among others.

There are nearby restaurants with vegetarian options for guests who do not want to use the facilities of the hotel and prefer to enjoy local cuisine. There is a pizzeria, a seafood restaurant, a cafeteria and a sushi restaurant nearby, as well as several restaurants and small cafeterias.

Uvita is also home to one of the most important New Age festivals worldwide: Envision. Hundreds of people visit the area to enjoy music, art, yoga and the sea.

Due to the proximity to the National Park Marino Ballena, the place is special for people who like bird watching, especially endangered birds such as the scarlet macaw.

Near the hotel, approximately 10 km (approximately 6 miles) away, there is a small town called Hojochal. In this town there is a small European community, mostly French and Italian, which offers a number of interesting services. Among them 5 restaurants with a more specialized gastronomy.
